Exhibiting a system that detects Osaka dialect intonation and unlocks doors at the Osaka-Kansai Expo
AmiVoice SDK has been adopted for "Key Voice - Open Sesame World," a system that uses voice recognition to determine the accuracy of Osaka dialect intonation and unlock automatic doors. The system will be exhibited at the WEST inx booth at the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion Nest for Reborn at the 2025 World Exposition, Osaka, Kansai.
Resistant to differences in intonation and accent,
Highly rated for its ability to maintain high recognition accuracy even for dialects
WEST inx, one of Japan's leading long-established lock manufacturers, noticed that sound waveforms that visualize the pitch and volume of sound resemble the shape of a key seen from the side. Based on this idea, they developed "Key Voice - Open Sesame World," a system that uses voice as a key and opens automatic doors when spoken with the correct intonation in Osaka dialect.
The decision to adopt "AmiVoice SDK" for this system was made based on its extensive implementation track record, its resistance to differences in intonation and accent, and its ability to maintain high recognition accuracy even for dialects such as Osaka dialect.
When you speak the specified Osaka dialect
AmiVoice judges the accuracy of intonation
"Key Voice: Open Sesame World" uses voice recognition to determine the intonation of the Osaka dialect spoken by the visitor, and if the visitor speaks with the correct intonation that meets the set evaluation criteria, an automatic door will open.
First, select the difficulty level of the Osaka dialect you wish to challenge from three options: "easy," "normal," or "difficult." The Osaka dialect phrase you will challenge is selected at random from 25 phrases. Once you have selected the Osaka dialect phrase you wish to challenge, a sample audio recording will be played. Visitors can then speak the specified Osaka dialect phrase, such as "nandeyanen," while referring to the sample audio, and AmiVoice will judge the accuracy of the intonation of the speech.
The evaluation is done on a four-point scale: "Perfect!", "Looks good!", "Not bad!", and "Not good...", and the results are displayed on a display at the front. If a certain standard is met, an unlocking signal is sent, and the automatic door can be opened. This exhibition allows visitors from outside the prefecture and abroad to experience Osaka culture while experiencing voice recognition technology in a game-like manner.
In addition, "key voice - The World of Open Sesame" will continue to be exhibited at WEST inx's Osaka showroom even after the exhibition period at the Osaka-Kansai Expo has ended.
